idialedyournumber is a project from the mind of 18 year old Jessie Everill. Getting started with a $2 AliExpress microphone and Bandlabs at the age of 14, Jessie found her passion. It’s clear that she has a love for the music and scene that she’s a part of. The music that she makes and the work that she does in her community pulls you into her world. Jessie is consistently doing shows in and around her hometown of Halifax, Nova Scotia. More than just doing shows she also helps manage a DIY record label ‘Warm Walk Records’ and is working on multiple side projects. Her passion for music is inarguable and fully shines through in one of these projects, idialedyournumber. The album ‘Hourglass’ from this project takes you on a trip through her mind. Experimenting with midwest emo, bitpop, and screamo music alike, the record fully encapsulates what it feels like to grow up. It’s a truly relatable album from someone who understands what music means to people while still being at the beginning of her career. Get a look into Jessie’s mind beyond music below and then stream Hourglass.

I’m bringing fucking three Tonys. They can take care of it. They can do the entire thing. I’m just gonna sit on a bench and watch.
If you could go skydiving anywhere in the world, where would you want to go?
I want to land in my hometown. If I could just land here then I’d be happy. I really like the idea of going skydiving. I’ve always been a height lover. Like I love rollercoasters.

A few years ago I went to Canada’s Wonderland with my dad. Shoutout to my dad. But the tallest rollercoaster that they have there is my favorite. It’s called The Leviathan I think. It went up so high.

Definitely chips. I have a top 3 and any of those I could eat so many of. Lays Sour Cream is #1. Kettle Chip Original is #2. Then Ruffles All Dressed is #3. I don’t think they have it in the USA, but it's super popular up here. It’s a little bit spicy, a little bit tangy. It’s great.

Just any lazy animal. Like a sloth. If a sloth was gorilla sized it would still act like a sloth. It would be too lazy to use its claws or anything so I think I could beat it.

Honestly a tower just to block everybody’s vision. Maybe CN Tower in Toronto.

I’d hang out with Yogi so I can use him for his material goods. I’d be nice to him in the beginning but then I’d just be there for the picnics.
What animals would make the best roommates?
Probably a turtle. A turtle doesn’t do much. It’d basically just be like living in my own apartment. He wouldn’t use very many utilities. Help save on rent.

There’s been a song that's been consistently stuck in my head. It’s from a while ago but it goes like “I took a pill in Ibiza. To show Avicii I was cool.” It’s been consistently stuck in my head for years. Like I end up singing it at work everyday.

Watermelon. Artificial watermelon is my least favorite flavor. I like actual watermelon but like any kind of watermelon lollipop I don’t like.

Bear 1 and Bear 2. No actually I would name one email and one goober. I’ve always liked the idea of a pet being named something virtual, so, email.

Probably French so I could get some of the bilingual jobs that are here. There's a lot of bilingual jobs advertised around me and being able to speak french would help with that.

Camping in Alaska, they’re so nice. I really like Awake but Still in Bed. Then the band Crying is really good.
