What fantasy characters do you think would throw the best birthday party?

I recently watched Shrek, like all of Shrek, for whatever reason and I feel like the whole group of like the Gingerbread Man and Pinnochio would throw really good parties. I feel like they would all work together and just do the craziest things. It seems like they are the ideal friend group. Pinnochio also just seems like he’d be really gullible so it could be funny to mess with him at like a trick or treat party.

If you could live in a Mario Bros World, which one would you live in? 

New Super Mario Brothers from 2009. Realistically World 9 would be the prettiest, but I think I would enjoy World 1 the most. Just the basic happy one. I would actually go crazy and probably die instantly in all of the other ones. I could just hang out with all the Yoshis and we’d probably be on a farm together and I would just be jumping around with them all day.

Which wizarding world would you want to live in? Or just generally experience?

I like the Harry Potter world but I’m a very cautious person, and it just feels a little dangerous to me. I can’t think of one place there that's actually safe. I would actually say the Clash of Clans world. They have wizards and witches there. I was so obsessed with Clash of Clans for awhile, I thought the whole they had going on was so cool. I was actually going to dress up like the witch for Halloween one year.

Why didn’t you end up going as the witch?

I was a Minecraft Character instead that year! Me and all of my siblings dressed up in cardboard boxes that we had painted to look like our characters. The cardboard got soggy though, and we didn’t really use bright paint, and so we kinda just looked like weird box characters with cardboard boxes on our arms. It was one of the first years that we were allowed to go trick or treating with our friends. And they all had these cute princess or cheerleader costumes while we were just standing in these soggy cereal boxes like “Let's get this candy!” It was honestly a lot more fun than it sounds.

What's your ideal hike?

It wouldn’t be super long, and it would have some bumps so that it’s challenging but not hard enough to do if you have knee problems. I would put it next to a river since you’re more likely to go faster if you’re hiking next to flowing water. There would be wildflowers and it would go through an old growth forest. Then there would be a waterfall at the point where you turn around and walk back with a big clearing and some deer and a river lake thing that people could swim in. It's also by a beach so people could make fun forts and houses out of driftwood.

If you could create a video game what would it be?

I’ve actually been thinking, planning, and dreaming about this. A couple months ago I played Roblox vr for the first time and it was the most incredible thing ever. I played like a dreamscape simulator and there was like floating things all around me and it didn’t even feel real. It made me want to learn 3d design rooms some day and make something like it. So I would make some 3d adventure game that's in vr where you just get to explore. But specifically I would have you be like a mermaid or fairy because I’ve always dreamed of that. So there would be people swimming or flying around you and you could talk to each other.

What artist's body of work would you like to live in?

I already put this on twitter but Grimes. Her old drawings and cover arts. I feel like her world would be creepy to live in but I am obsessed with her work. I love her drawings and I feel like she has a whole world that she's created and whatever crazy stuff her work is including painting, media, and music is just crazy and would be cool to live in.

How would you describe your art using a movie and a song?

I would definitely say the new animated Spider-Man Movie. If I were to really work on my skills and define it to one thing it would be that movie. Also the game ‘Gris’ is like my all time favorite game. That one is really a good representation of my work. It's like the essence of what I want to be. Song wise is harder. I feel like the Porter Robison album Nurture has that kind of flowy nature feel I like. But it would have to be more pop-y and colorful. And then Imogen Heap’s song Neglected Space. That song I would use to describe the intensity of the feelings I want to portray in my work.

What reality tv show/game show would you want to be on the most? 

I didn’t watch a lot of tv growing up but I did watch HGTV. I always loved making blueprints and home design stuff. I was like 6 making scale models of houses deciding where I wanted a trampoline. So I would definitely go on whatever HGTV show it is where the remodel houses and make my dream home.

What animal do you think would be the best photographer?

I would say crows. Where I live we are known for crows being everywhere and flocking to all the trees. Apparently though, crows can recognize a face and stay focused and know people years later. They also tell their friends about it too so crows could attack someone they love or hate. So I feel like crows would be good at focusing on people and remembering that it’s their subject.

Number one is Gabby Start. The quality of his production and the whole branding he has deserves so much more praise. The new albums from Billie and Charli I’ve been loving. Then Rooms - Zanna Nicole. Underscores obviously. Winona Oak has a really unique voice. Little Simz, Kevin Atwater, ZEDD, torr, and How Great Were the Robins.
